Duke of York pictured inside mansion of convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein

Náhled

Duke of York pictured inside mansion of convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein Peering out from behind the 15ft-high solid oak door Prince Andrew is seen to catch himself and check if anyone is watching as he waves goodbye to an attractive brunette. And it may be little surprise that he was concerned that someone might spot him in the doorway of the £63million Manhattan mansion, as it belonged to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. A video of the encounter emerged as the Duke of York faced a growing list of questions over this association with the financier who died in prison in an apparent suicide earlier this month. The Duke is seen in the video emerging in the imposing doorway of the New York building which Epstein’s victims have dubbed the “House of Horrors” to chat for a few seconds and then wave goodbye to an unnamed woman. Before he closes the door he peers around it apparently to see if anyone is watching. Less than an hour earlier Epstein had left the house in a thick fur-lined coat in the company of a young blonde woman who was wearing a thin jumper and appeared to be shivering. Prince Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein pictured walking together in Central Park during the 2010 visit  Credit: Jae Donnelly  Witnesses told the Mail on Sunday that the woman entering and leaving the house whilst the Duke was inside “looked very young indeed”. The footage is from December 2010 when the Duke, then the UKs Special Representative for Trade, stayed with Epstein in his New York home. Previously pictures have emerged from the same trip of the pair walking together in Central Park. The corridor in which the Duke stood to wave goodbye to the woman is said to contain a number of bizarre items, including a painting of Bill Clinton wearing the dress Monika Lewinsky was infamously wearing when she performed a sex act on him and a chandelier with a life sized female doll hanging from it. Jeffrey Epstein was in prison awaiting trial when he apparently took his own life  Two years before the video was shot Epstein had been convicted of sex with a child and placed on the sex offenders register.   The emergence of the video came after prosecutors in the US said they were continuing their investigations into Epstein's crimes and their attention had turned to his associates. The source said that they had gone public with the footage to try and encourage other victims to come forward. The Duke is braced for the release of further court documents in coming weeks after being named in documents relating to British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell, who is alleged to have “acted as a madam" for her lover Epstein. She has repeatedly denied the claims. Ghislaine Maxwell denies being a "madam" for her former lover Jeffrey Epstein   Buckingham Palace have refused to comment on the video but have recently repeated their “emphatic denial” of allegations against the Duke made by Virginia Roberts, one of Epstein’s victims. A spokesman for the Palace said: “Any suggestion of impropriety with underage minors is categorically untrue.” The Duke is currently on holiday in Spain with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson. The Metropolitan Police have refused to say whether they will look at requests by Ms Roberts to resume their inquiries into the allegations she made surrounding her time in London. In 2015 Detectives looked at allegations that Ms Roberts, who now uses her married name Guiffre, was trafficked to London for sexual exploitation but they did not to pursue a full investigation. Islamic State bomber kills 63 at Afghan wedding in worst attack in months

Islamic State bomber kills 63 at Afghan wedding in worst attack in months An Islamic State group suicide bomber killed at least 63 and wounded scores when he detonated in crowds at a Kabul wedding feast, in the most deadly attack in Afghanistan this year. The scale of the carnage in a western Shia district of the Afghan capital was met with shock in a city frequently hit by suicide attacks. It underlined fears that a peace deal between America and the Taliban will not halt violence. America called the bombing “an act of extreme depravity”, while the Taliban, who have themselves regularly killed civilians in indiscriminate bombings, said it was barbaric. A bomber called Abu Assim al Pakistani blew himself up after infiltrating a gathering of “infidels”, according to the Afghan branch of the Islamic State group. Afghan Shia Muslims have repeatedly been hit by the group before. The blast tore through crowds of well wishers and relatives, the groom told local television.  He had welcomed guests to the venue called the Dubai City wedding hall, only to see their bodies being carried back out hours later. An Afghan man mourns near the body of his brother after he was killed in an explosion at wedding hall in Kabul Credit: AP The attack "changed my happiness to sorrow", said the young man, who gave   his name as Mirwais. "My family, my bride are in shock, they cannot even speak. My bride   keeps fainting," he said.   "I lost my brother, I lost my friends, I lost my relatives. I will   never see happiness in my life again.” Ashraf Ghani, the Afghan president, condemned “the inhumane attack on the wedding hall in Kabul last night. My top priority for now is to reach out to the families of victims of this barbaric attack.” He said the Taliban movement fighting his government “cannot absolve themselves of blame, for they provide platform for terrorists”. The blast came as American and Taliban envoys continue to try to reach a deal which will see US troops withdraw and the Taliban give guarantees that Afghanistan will not become a haven for transnational terrorists such as al-Qaeda. A wounded man receives treatment at a hospital after an explosion at wedding hall in Kabul Credit: AP Saturday night's blast underlined how difficult that may be, with the local branch of Islamic State in Iraq and Levant (Isil) still controlling a foothold in eastern Afghanistan. Kabul's gaudy wedding halls hold lavish celebrations as families save for years to show off their hospitality and largesse. Guest lists can often run to more than a thousand. The purpose-built venues also hold other gathering such as political rallies. Several have been bombed in recent years and they have come to be seen as a soft target. Pictures of the aftermath of Saturday night's blast showed bodies strewn among overturned chairs and tables. Witnesses said the bomb detonated near a stage holding musicians.  "The wedding guests were dancing and celebrating the party when the   blast happened," a 23-year-old guest called Munir Ahmad told AFP. "Following the explosion, there was total chaos. Everyone was   screaming and crying for their loved ones.” At least 185 were wounded in the blast, including many women and children. Isil first emerged in Afghanistan in early 2015, as existing militants swarmed to the banner of extremists who had shocked the world by proclaiming a caliphate in Iraq and Syria. The Afghan branch of the movement has endured even as the middle eastern caliphate has been swept away in the Middle East. It has built a stronghold in Nangarhar and parts of Kunar, attracting defections from existing extremist groups already present, including the Pakistan Taliban, and a scattering of foreign fighters. An intense American special operations campaign has failed to dislodge Isil and Taliban attempts to purge the group from eastern Afghanistan have also failed. Číst dále >>> Přeložit do en

Gabigol doppelganger surprises fans Flamengo fans ahead of Vasco da Gama game

Náhled

Subscribe to our channel! rupt.ly/subscribe A lookalike of Flamengo's star striker Gabigol was spotted outside Brasilia's National Stadium on Saturday, ahead of their match against Vasco da Gama. Jeferson Sales, aged 34 and a native of Rio de Janeiro, said that his uncanny resemblance to the Gabigol would often spark off queues for photographs. "In Flamengo's match against Bahia, I didn't have lunch or water, nor did I go to the toilet because there was a line of people asking me to take pictures [with me]. I couldn't believe that it was happening, and it was so great," recalled Sales. The Gabigol lookalike said that fans would even ask to take a picture with him during football matches: "In the last Flamengo's match against Gremio, I didn't even watch the match. I had a chance to watch the match only in the middle of the second half. But I am very happy with all this affection coming from fans." Sales also spoke about what he described as "funny" episodes, when he was confused with the real Gabigol. "A street seller saw me and thought that I was the real Gabigol. He called the traffic police and asked them to hold the traffic so that I could pass because I was late for the match. I found it very funny, and I didn't even have time to say that I wasn't Gabigol," added the lookalike.
